Located in the Russian River Valley AVA, Siduri Wines sources Pinot Noir from several single vineyards. Owners Adam and Diana Lee originally lived in Texas before moving to California about 15 years ago. Siduri has since become one of the most celebrated Pinot producers in the state.
The Siduri 2004 Santa Lucia Highlands Garys’ Vineyard Pinot Noir was recently ranked #60 on Wine Spectator’s 2006 Top 100 wine list. The winery is one of only a handful that is able to buy grapes from this legendary vineyard. Gary Pisoni and Gary Franscioni are very particular about who they sell their prized Pinot to.
The 2004 Ewald Vineyard Pinot Noir is an excellent wine made with grapes from Russian River Valley. With 14.9% alcohol, this is a big Pinot that gets additional structure from being aged in 100% French oak. Ewald Vineyard has two very famous neighbors in Kistler and Dehlinger. 168 cases of this wine were produced.
The 2004 Abre Vert Vineyard Pinot Noir is also made with Russian River Valley fruit. The vines on this property are about 20 years old. 193 cases of this Pinot were made.
