Sierra Vista Vineyards

Located along Red Rock Ridge, Sierra Vista Vineyards has been family owned and operated since its inception. The 32 acre estate vineyard that is located at about 2,900 feet above sea level. Sierra Vista makes a number of great mountain wines, but is particularly known for their Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Syrah, and Viognier.

Because the vines are planted on a western facing slope, they receive abundant sun exposure during the day. Temperatures cool at night, preserving critical acidity in Cabernet Sauvignon and Zinfandel grapes. Sierra Vista also produces a number of other interesting wines. These include Fume Blanc, Roussanne, Grenache, and a fruity wine called Belle Rose.

In 1977, Sierra Vista had its first crush with both estate grapes and fruit sourced from local growers. Over the years, the annual production has risen to 10,000 cases. The winery is blessed with awe inspiring views of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, and the picnic area has been described as, “A must see spot of paradise.”
