Vista Verde is a 640 acre property that is planted with 550 acres of a number of different grapes. The winery is located in San Benito County’s Paicines wine region.

In 1991, John Dyson bought the property that would become Vista Verde from Almaden. His first career was a wealth manager. He is noted for helping to develop the Smith-Dyson trellis system.

Vista Verde grows Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Chardonnay, Syrah, Viognier, Pinot Noir, Tocai Friulano, and Arneis. Most of the grapes are sold to Kendall-Jackson, Beringer, Au Bon Climat, and David Bruce. Dyson uses some of the fruit for his Millbrook wines.

In 1998, Dyson bought the premium quality Pinot Noir producer Williams & Selyem. All of his holdings are under Pebble Ridge Vineyards and Estates which is based in New York.
